Monarch House always aims to ensure our corporate housing provides the very best in terms of quality and comfort, and, with our serviced apartments situated on Kensington High Street, we know you’d expect nothing less. Although Kensington High Street boasts an extensive range of high-end shops and chain stores – Diesel, Louise Vitton, American Apparel, and Karen Millen, to name but a few – from here it is just a fifteen minute journey on London’s public transport to the eponymous district of Knightsbridge. Should you ever tire of the Kensington retail experience, Knightsbridge, too, offer alternative, exclusive, luxury shopping opportunities. Here, one can find the world-renowned department stores Harrods and Harvey Nichols, as well as an enticing assembly of numerous British and international fashion houses; examples including Prada and Jimmy Choo.

Should your interests lie elsewhere however, Knightsbridge lies on the south side of Hyde Park, and leads directly to Hyde Park Corner, Chelsea, and Belgravia, one of the wealthiest districts in the world. Knightsbridge too, is perhaps most notable for the price of its residential properties, and, with houses here selling for well into the tens of millions of pounds, we recommend you spend your time shopping and exploring rather than house hunting! If you’re lucky enough to stay in London during the summer, and even luckier enough to enjoy some sunshine and avoid the classic ‘British summer’ deluges, then we recommend a lazy afternoon in Hyde Park; you can even take a boat out on Serpentine Lake and go rowing.

If you wish to indulge in a bit of a cultural enlightenment, the list of things to see and places to go is endless: the esteemed Victoria and Albert Museum; the Royal Albert Hall, the Natural History Museum; the Science Museum; the Chelsea Flower Show; or Kensington Palace and Gardens; all are located within a comfortable walking distance.

Finally, the nightlife on offer really does leave you spoilt for choice; Shaftesbury Avenue, Piccadilly Circus and Leicester square are the playgrounds for the nocturnal, and all are surrounded by lively bars and restaurants filled with London’s social elite.
